Frog's Support for News

Introduction

Introduction

Remailing is about messages: mails and posts.
But there is little point in remailing posts if there is no injection point to Usenet in the end.
When I got interested in remailers, there were only 2 mail2news: Mit and Replay, and a dozen remailers.
By the end of the XXth century, there were ~50 remailers around the world, and only 3 mail2news (Mit, Dizum, Shinn)
Both volume and heat were high on these scarce resources, and I started thinking of running a Mail2News at Frog's.

When Shinn and Dizum stated that they would enforce hashcash anyways, I decided to start my mail2news, howewer technically unprepared I was, to put more than words behind my opposition to the dubious concept.
Hashcash discussion and deployment stalled, may it be because of my action, because of the furious opposition in apas, or simply because reason prevailed.

Now, things make technically more sense, although it is possible to run something with limited resources.
Because I had the software opportunity, I added a limited NewsServer, and a Web2News.
Although those things are similar (they revolve around News, they piggyback on each other) they are quite different and their functionnalities are totally different: be sure you understand them: (see Glossary).
